The company activity was focused on the procurement process. Clients were mainly Gulf construction companies who needed to purchase goods in the Italian markets like marbles, HVAC equipment etc..
The whole procurement process was automated on the company IBM S38 (mod 200) with 50 terminals connected.
The IMS department responsibility was to expand this computer application and to maintain the related data-bases according to a plan specified by the general management. The department was staffed with 4 programmers.
