C.LOTTI is an engineering consulting company specialized in the hydraulic field and in the public infrastructures design; the company has assisted and supervised the works of the Lima water supply and sewerage rehabilitation for SEDAPAL (Empresa de Sevicios de Agua Potable y Acantarillado). The works were financed by the World Bank with 300 USD$ millions: "Lima Water Rehabilitation and Management Project".

A 5.5 million US$ SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) information system has been developed and technical assistance and supervision were provided to the project team for the implementation of the project.

For the monitoring of the water distribution network in the Lima metropolitan area (approx 9 million inhabitants),  a total of 254 remotes has been connected to a central control room operating a SCADA system based on the INFOPLUS software.

The remote stations:

• Wells

• Control valves                                                                   

• Reservoirs

• Pumping stations

Has been equipped with PLCs and instrumentation (pressure meters, ultrasonic and magnetic flow meters, automatic valve actuators etc etc); a telecommunication network has been created using MDS remotes radio stations and the company's Frame Relay platform.

The project team (12 engineers) was integrated by

• C.LOTTI (supervision)

The system has been presented in the "PUBLIC UTILITIES INTERNATIONAL FORUM 2003":
